Protecting Wildlife, Empowering Communities,

Protecting wildlife means preserving natural habitats and species, which in turn empowers communities by promoting sustainable development and ecological balance.

WHO WE ARE?

We established the Wildlife Justice Organization (WJO) out of a deep commitment to elevating the importance of wildlife conservation and management. By collaborating with local, regional, national, and international organizations, as well as government agencies, we aim to revitalize and protect wildlife ecosystems. Our efforts are dedicated to fostering sustainable socio-economic development in Somalia, ensuring that both people and nature thrive together

The Wildlife Justice Organization operates across three core areas of focus:

The Wildlife Justice Organization is an independent non-profit dedicated to advancing biodiversity conservation and environmental sustainability across Africa

Research and Conservation:

The organization spearheads scientific research and conservation efforts, including environmental problems, species studies and population2 monitoring, to inform effective wildlife management strategies and ensure the survival of vulnerable ecosystems.

Community Empowerment and Education:

Through its innovative Wilderness Program, the organization provides local youth with an environmental and life skills curriculum, fostering a new generation of conservation leaders and promoting sustainable practices within communities.

Anti-Poaching and Wildlife Management:

The organization actively combats poaching through aerial surveys, the deployment of anti-poaching units, and field support for researchers. These efforts aim to safeguard wildlife and maintain ecological balance.
